LadyBird Schools is a family of caring, high-achieving schools in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, built on one simple promise — Offering An Excellent Start!!
We pride ourselves on being a small, family-oriented environment where every child is a face, a story and a valued part of us, never just a name on a register.
From a child's very first days in our Baby/Foundation Class right through to Grade 7, we nurture confident, curious and kind young learners who are ready for whatever comes next.
Our community is made up of three campuses that work together as one:
- LadyBird Preschool, Queenspark — our dedicated Early Childhood Development (ECD) home for our youngest learners, ages 2 to 6.
- LadyBird Centre, Malindela — a preschool, aftercare & homework centre and girls' boarding house all in one.
- LadyBird Junior School, Queenspark — our main primary school at Queens Park East, serving Grades 1 to 7.

Ladybird Junior School (Grades 1–7)
Our main primary school situated at No. 2 and No. 4 Radnor Road, Queens Park East. A strong, well-rounded primary education for Grades 1 to 7. School hours 7:30am–1:30pm. Fees: US380 per term registration US150 (once-off). Enrichment activities (Robotics, French, Swimming) US15–US25.
Ladybird Preschool (Ages 2–6)
Our dedicated Early Childhood home at No. 6 Glamorgan Road, Queens Park East — Baby Class, Foundation, ECD A and ECD B. Registration US80 (once-off). Half day (7:30am–12:30pm) US260 per term. Full day (7:30am–4:30pm) US130 per month, including meals. Transport US30–US50 per month.
Ladybird Centre, Malindela
A preschool, aftercare and homework centre and girls' boarding house in Malindela. Girls' boarding US200 per month (ages 3–12, full board and meals). Aftercare and tutorial centre (1:00pm–5:00pm, Grades 1–7) US40 per month. Preschooling (2–6 yrs): registration US100, half day US280 per term, full day US130 per month including meals.
Robotics
Hands-on coding and robotics that spark problem-solving and creativity from an early age. Offered as an enrichment activity (US15–US25).
French
An introduction to a global language, opening doors and broadening horizons. Offered as an enrichment activity (US15–US25).
Swimming
Water confidence and safety taught in a fun, supportive setting. Offered as an enrichment activity (US15–US25).
Karate
Discipline, focus and self-confidence through martial arts, guided by experienced instructors.
Ballet & Dance
Grace, rhythm and self-expression — our dancers love to perform at our lively talent shows.
Athletics & Gymnastics
Sports days, athletics and gymnastics build teamwork, fitness and a healthy competitive spirit.
Educational Trips
Learning beyond the classroom — from community outings to fun, hands-on excursions that bring lessons to life.

- Completed application form
- Copy of the child's birth certificate
- Health Card from a local clinic
- Two recent passport-size photographs
- Most recent school report (for Grades 1–7 transfers)
- Proof of residence
Admission Process
- 1Enquire — call, message or visit us to learn more and book a tour.
- 2Apply — complete the application form and submit the required documents.
- 3Placement — we confirm your child's class and campus.
- 4Register — pay the once-off registration fee to secure the place.
- 5Welcome — your child joins the Ladybird family!
